This event will be sanctioned by the 4 State Dirt Late Model Series. That was a must. It will be held on September 12, 2026 at Legit Speedway Park in West Plains, Missouri. The original home of the Show Me 100. This event will pay $5,000 to win making it the biggest paying event in the history of the 4 State Dirt Late Model Series. It will be a 50 lap event. A special trophy is being designed for the winner. The Psycho Billy Cadillac Fans Tour will receive 1 provisional starting spot into the 50 Lap Main Event of our choosing allowing for 1 additional starter.
Allergies were devastating for me last year. I gave up hope on life. But I didn't just want to end the Psycho Billy Cadillac Fans Tour cold turkey without giving the fans any kind of notice. So I decided to make this my final year. After having sinus surgery in January and making other important decisions to stay away from tent camping and driving with the windows down, which affected me greatly, this year has been really good. I have new hope. A new lease on life. But I've decided it is time to enjoy my life and not be on the road 150 days per year. This will still be my final full-time season.
I want to offer a going away present to my favorite sport of all-time. Growing up as a grade schooler, I knew that this was it. My favorite sport. Both as a fan and as a business owner. We are a registered business with the State of Iowa. I wanted to donate $5,000 and sponsor and event. But I obviously wanted it to be big. I didn't just want it to be a Crown Jewel type event for the series, it needed to make a big impact for them as well. I also had specific requests which I needed to happen for those who wanted my money. I wanted it to be the biggest race of the year for them, more laps, more money, a provisional for us, and some type of naming rights. The 4 State Dirt Late Model Series were always on my mind. They were so easy to work with and immediately said yes.
When the Cash Money Super Dirt Series first formed, we were still somewhat of a small entity without much revenue coming in. Rarely do we ask racetracks or sanctioning bodies for cash. But for some reason, we wanted to squeeze in one of their shows but needed a little boost to stay on the road for an extra day. I approached Dustin Mooneyham who ran the series about partnering with us for a single day event. I thought that we could help each other. Especially with them just starting out. Getting them more visibility. That was always one of our things. Bringing regional touring events and putting them on a national stage. I am pretty sure that we were the only ones doing that. It was either that first visit or second visit when every Late Model driver came up to me, shook my hand, and thanked me for coming. I thought WOW! This has never happened before. Dustin surely had something to do with this. It was great to feel that kind of appreciation. There was another occasion a few years back when series director, Kyle Medlin, came up to me and asked if I would perform the redraw. Are you kidding me? So many firsts with this organization. To be appreciated at this level is what brought me to this final conclusion. There really, truly wasn't any better choice in whom to support.
Ever since, regardless of who was in charge, and even with the name change from Cash Money Super Dirt Series to 4 State Dirt Late Model Series, they have supported us every single year. I guess you could call it "paying it forward." Now we are "paying it back" in what will be the largest winner's paycheck in their series racing history. With my support, the car count will be higher. The spectator count will be higher. The notoriety will be higher. This truly makes me happy.
In closing, it was Isaac Keepper who helped seal the deal on this package. He is the person that I have been chatting with off and on over the past month. Isaac has been so easy to work with. His other ownership partner and racer, Glen Powell, has been the same. Supportive and very easy to work with. Even Brooke Medlin who has helped with 4 State press releases earlier this year. I look forward to making history with this great group of individuals! This all started with Dustin Mooneyham. I have asked him to join me in victory lane. I have also requested that Isaac Keepper, Glen Powell, and Kyle Medlin also join and assist me with presenting the check and trophy. It's not just about me. It truly is about them.
